Countertops Edges

There are many countertops edges. Stone Spirit offers these and many more custom design edges. Here are the examples and descriptions of the most common edge profiles.

Countertops edges

1. Eased

Eased edge provides a very nice and clean look. It is appropriate for contemporary and modern styles. Thickness available 1-1/4. It is simple, elegant and classic edge that is suitable to many countertop materials.

1/4 Bevel
1/4 bevel is a great option for both contemporary or traditional styles. It has 1/4 cut on the top and it is a good option for those who don’t want rounded edge.

2. Half Bullnose

Half bullnose edge is a great option for both contemporary and traditional styles. It has a slight curve on the top and straight on the bottom. Half bullnose edge has a more pronounced curve cut on top than 1/4 round bevel edge.

3. Full Bullnose

The full bullnose is rounded on the top and bottom. It is a great option for both contemporary and traditional styles. It is perfect and for those who don’t want any sharp edges and would rather have smooth finishes. This edge provides a thinner look, as it is grounded on top and bottom.

4. Bevel

Bevel is a great option for those who don’t want to have rounded edges. It allows the water to run off easily without damaging cabinets under the edge. It has straight lines and appropriate for both traditional or contemporary styles.

5. Demi Bullnose

Demi bullnose and has a pronounced curve from top to the bottom. It has a smooth shaved and will protect cabinets underneath if there is a spill.

6. Small Ogee

Ogee edge provides a sophisticated S-shaped curve on the top and moves us towards the bottom. It is used very often for a traditional style.

7. F3 Ogee

F3 Ogee has a nice curve, but the cut out is not as curved as in a small ogee edge.

8. Monarch

Monarch edge has a curved cut on the top that goes into a straight 90-degree cut and then curves down towards the bottom. It is most commonly used for traditional style kitchens.

9. Triple Pencil

The triple pencil has three smaller rounded cuts, providing a cascading look. This edge gives a nice, elegant, and thick look to countertops. This edge might require more cleaning, as dust can build up between the creases. But It is a beautiful edge for traditional kitchens and bathrooms.

10. Large Ogee

Large ogee edge has a more pronounced cut and the curve goes a little bit deeper than regular ogee.
