Granite can sustain extreme high temperatures without leaving any marks. You can’t burn granite with regular use. It is safe to set hot pots or pans directly from the stove or oven onto granite. If the stain penetrated deep into the granite, the use of specific cleaner is necessary. But keep in mind, sometimes chemicals that are necessary for stain removal will remove the finish on:

- travertine
